The State Legislature has approved funding for an elementary school to be developed in Maui Lani. This new school is scheduled to be open in 2006.

Maui Lani's convenient location gives residents a number of school options.

Less than a half-mile away from Maui Lani is Maui Community College, one of seven community colleges that make up the University of Hawaii Community College system.

The 78-acre campus features stylized "Hawaiian hut" classrooms complimented by five new buildings, Ka Lama, Ka`a`ike, Kupa`a, Laulima, and Pa`ina.

The college is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges for all courses and programs offered. It provides programs of general education for technical-occupational-professional and transfer students.

Baldwin High School is just across the street, and one of the top private schools on Maui, Seabury, is just a 20 minute drive "up the hill." Also within minutes from Maui Lani is Maui High, the Kahului School, the Maui Waena Intermediate School, the Lihikai School, St. Anthony's, the Iao School, and the Wailuku School.
