The second Maui Lani subdivision to be introduced
in 1998 was a smaller, more exclusive neighborhood,
new to Central Maui, called The Grand Fairways. Consisting
of 20 custom homes, house and lot packages at The
Grand Fairways dotted the fairways of the renowned
Dunes golf course. The project sold quickly, and represented
a success in this new market.=
 The
Grand Fairways North subdivision immediately followed
the completion of The Grand Fairways, in 1999.
A combination of 80 golf course and interior lots,
this project also sold quickly, and was the impetus
to Maui Lani's decision to create The Island.
